I'm baaaaack!

I bet you didn't even know I was gone, lol.  We took a mini vacation to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure.  I planned to catch up today on emails and such so if you are waiting for a reply from me I'm getting to it :)

We just got a BIGGER A/C system put in today...brrr...wear you sweaters girls :)

Demo Day this Friday will be a repeat from last Friday.  If you missed it last week then stop in and learn a neat way to make your own metal embellishments.  If you were here last Friday stop in anway and say "hi" :)

We had a great time during the calendar class last night.  You thought you would never break out your glue gun again, huh? (wink wink)

Guest Designer... save the date!

 September 19th-20th.

We have been planning this event with Scrapbooks Etc in Bonita Springs for over a month now and we are ready to let the cat out of the bag.

We have a guest designer coming to teach classes.  She works with a leading manufacturer that will be celebrating their 5th year anniversary.  She creates their card kits and is one of the designers of the page of the month class.  You've seen her online and in the magazines. 

We are proud to announce that Basic Grey is sending their lead designer, Kelly Goree!

YUMMY

We had a delicous dessert at last night's crop.  Thanks Stacy for sharing the recipe!

Karen's Frozen Strawberry Dessert

Crust:

1 cup flour
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup butter (softened)

Mix together & press into a 13x9 pan, bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes. 
Crumble with a fork while it's hot. Spread about 2/3 of the crumble mixture into
the bottom of the pan, set aside the other 1/3 for the top.

Filling:

Two 10 oz. pkgs frozen sliced strawberries in syrup (thawed)
2 egg whites
2/3 cup sugar
2 Tablespoons lemon juice (I use 3, though!)
8 oz Cool Whip

Whip egg whites until fluffy.  Add strawberries, sugar & lemon juice.  Beat on
High for several minutes. Stir in the Cool Whip and pour over the crumble
mixture in pan.  Sprinkle remaining 1/3 crumble mixture over the top.  Cover top
tightly and freeze.

Demo Day

Don't forget that Friday is our demo day.  Today we made a sweet little tag using some distress ink techniques.
